What a delight reading your enthusiastic blog!! In fact it brought tears to my eyes knowing that the quilt squares along the countryside have enriched your life! That's what they are supposed to do - remind us of days past, celebrate who we are and where we live! Of course we all hope that some tourism $$'s will be left behind, too. The quilt trail now has spread to 45 states along with Ontario, British Columbia and Prince Edward Island. Well over 4000 quilt squares grace barns, farm outbuildings, downtown/uptown buildings, and fences and even free standing ones. FYI - we now have a book featuring the first 27 states that participated. 'Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement' was written by Suzi Parron with Donna Sue Groves. Should you wish to purchase a copy ($25.00) please contact me or check your local book store. Thanks again -- you touched my heart with your words! ~donna sue groves
